1. This is an example of urban sprawl as it is the new development which is extending out and expanding in a very large area of about a huge 600 hectares which will be the homes for 6000 new people. It is not urban consolidation as many of the new homes are small and low lying and don't really fit as much people as a
apartment building would do so.
2. I think this development is a positive change as it partly relieves the drastic housing shortage in Sydney due to the rapidly increasing population of Sydney. It also lets the outer western suburbs of Sydney to be rejuvinated with new things such as new community and new world class facilities. It also is sort of a disadvantage as the company which is Delfin will destroy all of the natural landscape and create new and very different landscapes and areas to the area such as the man-made lake. It would be a great advantage to the Australia as it allows for more growth in a city/country which is vital througout the world and need more people to do the many jobs available in Australia.
