Geography Year Review

I feel that this year in geography was a very interesting and interactive one. We had many new approaches to learning such as the online blog work and the online websites that were created in the random groups that were chosen for us. We also did a lot of work which was able to be easily accessible and we were able to do from anywhere. The creation of the website about Australia and its regional links in our group of Daniel M, Daniel K, Tim J and me was one that we all contributed to equally and got the job done in a detailed manner. But this was not the case with many other groups which did not input into the group equally and left the work for only 1 or 2 people to do. The amount of work that each person needs to do, needs to be regularly checked to see that the work is being done properly. Also some aspects of this years course was not gone through in proper detail and when it came to the yearly exams and school certificates it was hard to write stuff about a few topics.

Also any mistakes we made were not corrected and we did not know how to fix these problems such as in the regional links (defence, trade, etc.) and this was where many of the marks were lost within the exam papers which we sat this year. The new approach to the learning style was very engaging and interesting and it was an easy way to do our work. The online quizes were good as they were received immediately by the teacher and marked straight away which we knew our marks in a short amount of time. This was also encouraged in doing well in these tests as they had a reward attached to it which was a motivation to do well. All together this year has been a very good and interesting year in the final time I would be doing geography and I have learnt a good amount of stuff this year. Thank You for an enjoyable year Mr Cav.
